Opening of the Fountains in Peterhof 2026. The Summer Season Begins with Music and Water

This year’s opening was especially vibrant: a symphony orchestra, a laser show, and evening fireworks. Starting May 17, the fountains operate daily at full capacity through October. Visitors can enjoy both the classic highlights (“Samson Tearing the Lion’s Jaws Apart,” “Chess Mountain,” “Golden Mountain”) and evening programs with illumination.

Peterhof is not just a museum, but an entire historical landscape of palaces, parks, and engineering marvels of the 18th–19th centuries. Following the restoration of several sites, this season introduces new routes and interactive zones.

For St. Petersburg residents and tourists alike, this is a true signal that summer has begun. Even if the May weather is unpredictable, the fountains and fresh greenery create a festive atmosphere. It is better to buy tickets online — queues are traditionally long on weekends.
