Thousands bid tearful farewell to Asha Bhosle at Shivaji Park

Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent a wreath, which Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis laid in tribute to the beloved Asha Tai.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Sunetra Pawar and Eknath Shinde, Maharashtra cabinet members, Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawade, MNS leader Raj Thackeray, and numerous other prominent figures who paid their respects to the artist.

Key figures from the music industry—Hariharan, Shaan—as well as film stars Aamir Khan, Vicky Kaushal, and Padmini Kolhapure honored the great singer.

The body, draped in the national tricolor, was solemnly handed over to Asha Bhosle's son, Anand Bhosle, followed by a gun salute.

Anand Bhosle lit the funeral pyre in the presence of the Mangeshkar family members and thousands of grieving fans.
